Research Associate - Recombinant Protein Production

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join a team dedicated to the generation and characterization of milligram to gram quantities of recombinant proteins to support early discovery and research projects. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for the rapid expression and purification of proteins from a variety of systems. Experience with baculovirus, mammalian, E. coli expression systems and small to mid-scale purification is a plus. A background in protein production and antibodies is a decided asset. The candidate should have effective communication skills, the ability to present data in well-organized written and oral formats, ability to use data tracking platforms and the skills necessary to manage multiple projects in a collaborative team environment.

Basic Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in the life sciences with a minimum of 1 year of lab experience in academia or industry. Must have working knowledge of cell culture, column chromatography (operation of manual and automated chromatography systems), and a fundamental understanding of typical molecular analytical methods (e.g. SDS-PAGE, ELISA, Western blots, BCA etc).
