About the Opportunity

As a member of the Sanofi  Electrical &Instrumentation maintenance team at Haverhill you will be providing vital support to the site by ensuring both reactive and pro-active maintenance activities are completed on-time and to plan. We aspire to achieve a 90% plan adherence target each week by working closely with a dedicated maintenance planning team to deliver our key daily activities. This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to join our team of 5 E&I technicians at a time when you will not only benefit from the experience of established team members, but also use your experience in previous roles to help change our existing work practises by challenging the established norms. This is a full time and permanent position working normal working hours Monday to Friday, however there is a requirement to take part in the on call rota for which you will receive extra payment as it occurs.

Sanofi focuses on developing specialty treatments for debilitating diseases that are often difficult to diagnose and treat. The Haverhill site is well located in the UK, near to Cambridge and close to London, which makes Haverhill a great location to work.

Our teams have unique skills and capabilities which have taken many years to master, including, spray drying, continuous processing and process analytical technology (PAT), as well as complex supply chain management and highly agile, secondary packaging operations dedicated to the Speciality Care portfolio. The 9 hectare site was acquired in 1982 and employees circa 300 people.

Key responsibilities

·  Complete both Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance / Calibration activities to deliver planned & reactive maintenance on a range of assets from Specialist Manufacturing equipment through to vital plant utilities.
·  Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, quality and validation protocols at all times.
·  Uses predictive techniques to minimise maintenance costs and equipment downtime. Trouble shoots equipment and facilities failures and effects repairs.
·  Depending on specialism may work on systems to include, but not limited to, Industrial Electrical equipment, modern Instrumentation and Controls, HVAC, Refrigeration, Air and other site critical installations such as safety suppression systems.
·  Understands and interprets blueprints, P&ID layouts & wiring diagrams performing maintenance and repairs.

About You

To excel in this role you will need to have:

Essential requirements:

·  Experience of providing both Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance support in a manufacturing environment.
·  Hold a City & Guilds/ NVQ certificate or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline, preferably Electrical or Instrumentation.

It would be advantageous to have (not essential):

·  Experience of working within a GMP environment.
