Sanofi Consumer Healthcare US (formerly Chattem) is a leading marketer and manufacturer of a broad portfolio of branded over-the-counter (OTC) healthcare products, in such categories as allergy, upper and lower gastrointestinal, skin care, topical pain care, oral care and other OTC toiletry products.  The US CHC portfolio includes well-recognized brands such as: Allegra, Nasacort, Xyzal, Dulcolax, Zantac, Gold Bond, Cortizone-10, Icy Hot, Aspercreme, Rolaids, ACT, Unisom, and Selsun Blue.

Job overview

We are seeking a self-motivated, efficient, and meticulous material handler to join our team. As a material handler with our organization, you will be mainly responsible for unloading material deliveries, maintaining stock, supplying packaging lines with materials/components and loading finished goods and materials to send to warehouse. The ideal candidate for the material handler position is a diligent worker who can complete tasks successfully with little to no guidance.

Responsibilities

·  Prepare documentation for all incoming components, unload trailers, verify goods, and maintain proper storage. 
·  Schedule deliveries of inbound freight, load and unload trailers, verify accuracy of deliveries, print bar-coded identification labels and apply to containers
·  Determine storage location and move raw materials, components, and finished goods from staging dock to specified locations.
·  Entering receiving data and location into the JD Edwards inventory control system.  
·  Deliver materials and components to manufacturing operations departments, prepare finished goods for transport to warehouse storage, relieve for breaks on the packaging lines as required to ensure continuous production and special projects as assigned.
·  Must follow all cGMP, FDA, and Good Housekeeping policies and procedures.  
·  Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

At least one year of applicable work experience.

Computer literacy.

Packaging machinery, electric and manual lift trucks, and various mechanic tools.

Uniforms, safety shoes, hair covers, and/or head covering, gloves, dust masks, and safety glasses, as required; Equipment provided by Sanofi.

Must be able to lift 25-60 lbs; requires standing or walking approximately 100% of the time.

Basic mathematical ability.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Nearly constant visual attention, alertness.

Must work in a professional and collaborative style.

Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.

Must be able to think and plan ahead without direct supervision to ensure production goals are met.

Preferred Qualifications

These are the key differentiating qualifications that will elevate a basically qualified candidate to a great candidate and may include advanced education, skills, experience.

Forklift certification strongly preferred

Stretch-wrapping and strapping equipment, stencil applicator, and a calculator.

Ability to effectively communicate to team members  

Terms of Employment

Ability to work overtime hours preferred.
