Sanofi have started major transformation by migrating existing infrastructures services  to the cloud (Private, AWS and GCP), and at the same time supporting Business Cloud native projects that support business initiative. Part of this transformation is the move to Infrastructure as code allowing application teams to deploy and maintain the cloud underlying infrastructure services of their applications. The DEVOPS team, part of the Global Infrastructure service of Sanofi (ITSTech), is supporting this transformation by implementing a Infrastructure as code Pipeline with associated toolchain to create AWS, GCP and Private resources. The DevOps Engineer is part of the DEVOPS team, he is in charge of contributing to the toolchain selection, to support application to leverage IAC pipeline, and to help Cloud Architect to build the architecture blueprint.

The role aims at establishing a culture and environment where building, testing, and releasing Infrastructure as code can happen rapidly, frequently, and more reliably leveraging open source product of the market. Other core responsibilities include the contribution to the design and build of the DEVOPS platform and associated pipeline, the support of application starting with DEVOPS, the development of architecture blueprints in collaboration with Cloud Architects, the creation and animation of the DEVOPS user Community for cloud.

Dev Ops and Infrastructure

·  Establishes a framework for the design, development, maintenance and execution of infrastructure as code within a Development Operations (Dev Ops) mode.
·  Identifies best practices in the design and development of DevOps IAC.
·  Prepares and updates documentations on Dev Ops guidelines.
·  Automate Documentation for compliance (Quality and Security).
·  Manages the automation of the infrastructure Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
·  Engages in enterprise-level systems component design and implementation.
·  Collects and monitors key metrics; proactively plan required mid and long-term changes and improvements to the overall system.
·  Writes and maintains reference architectures and systems design ‘best practices’ guidelines for automation and operation.

Relationship and People Management

·  Works with Cloud architects and Cloud Foundation team to define all the policies and best practices to interact with AWS, GCP and Private cloud environment.
·  Works with application team to help them using the toolchain, execute the pipeline and consume AWS, GCP, Private cloud services.
·  Works with the Quality Assurance (QA) Team, Service Customer and technical teams to implement acceptable solutions for vendor/software related issues.
·  Design the Dev Ops automatic documentation with the QA team.
·  Participates in agile development projects.
·  Acts as a role model for all best practices, ensuring consistency across entire team.

Minimum Required

·  Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in DEVOPS with either AWS or GCP.
·  Experience in Agile / Rapid Development Life Cycle methodologies; certification preferred.
·  Experience in automated DEVOPS tools specifically Hashicorp : Terraform and Vault.
·  Experience with programming languages such as various shells, pyhton, Json.
·  Unix development experience.
·  Experienced with software repository tools, software build tools, and software deployment tools.
·  6+ years of component development experience.
·  Strong experience working with distributed systems.
·  Certified AWS/GCP on Architect or DEVOPS.
