Program SaVIE (VIE of Sanofi) is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

Mission:
Sanofi is building up and running a Payment Factory in Belgium that is based on an In-House Cash model. An In-House Cash Centre is a virtual bank within the corporate group, with which each affiliated company has one or more accounts. For the affiliated companies, the In-House Cash Centre is just another house bank, which they will use to process their third party payables. Payments will be executed “on behalf of” the affiliated companies by the In-House Cash Centre.
The person will be part of a team of 4-5 persons and will serve as Treasury In-House Banking Officer, to support the Sanofi Payment Factory daily operations but also support the Sanofi Restricted Party Screening (RPS) Activities in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, Sanofi Policies and Internal Controls as well as Compliance Program and especially:
- In relations to Payment Factory Activities
o Daily cash management of the In-House bank activities; including coordination with banks and affiliates and issues resolution;
o Ensure timely funding of payment flows by the headquarter as well as minimum idle balances over bank accounts;
o Daily bank account reconciliation;
o In-House Bank accounting activities; ensuring related G/L accounts are reconciled in a timely manner
- In the context of the Restricted Party Screening, be the 1st level of support for the evaluation of Sanofi screened Business Partners (Vendors, Customers, Banks) and Payments that are identified as “Potential Hits” versus Public Sanction Party Lists (e.g. OFAC, UN, …)
o Daily analysis of the “Hits” by comparing the type of entity of the screened Business Partner, the similarities between the name and address fields of the Business Partner with those of the Sanction Party List(s) entry in order to determine whether the Business Partner is effectively matching 100% the one of the Official Sanction Party List (“True Hit”)
o Gather necessary information to perform evaluation of the “Hit” and document due diligence performed adequately;
o After evaluation confirmed “Hit” is not matching 100% the Sanction Party List(s) (“False Hit”), timely release Business Partners/Payments in the system;
o Take appropriate escalation measures if need be (“True Hit” or “likely True Hit”)
o Report on Screening Activities
The position is based in Brussels reporting to the Payment Factory Operations Supervisor.
Profile:
Education:
Master II or similar within finance/accounting
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience within the field of Treasury Back Office/ Cash Management / In-house banking, in a multinational company or financial institution
Experience with payment systems and practices; potentially Sanction Party Lists and Compliance
Experience with SAP FI preferred and SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) is a plus
MS Office and especially good command of Excel and Access knowledge is a plus
Master Data qualification is a plus
