Financial Controller Assistant

Job Details:
Purpose of Role
To assist the Sanofi Pasteur Controller in all areas of financial: planning, reporting, controlling, modelling and analysis.
Analyse business performance, coordinate budget processes and provide technical support for timely and consistent reporting of actual performance as well as budget and forecasts.
- Analyse affiliates' business performance
- sales, P&L (Profit & Loss), headcount
- anticipate trends and identify risks and opportunities plus support in explaining variances versus budget/tendances and latest sales forecast
- To ensure actual monthly reports and forecast consistency, from data collection to management presentation
- To control and comment activity variances vs forecast, and to estimate the year-end impact of actual variances
- Preparation of all recurring forecasting, planning, and reporting requirements throughout the year, at both local s-a ANZ (Australia and New Zealand) affiliate and Sanofi Pasteur Asia-Pacific regional levels
- To reinforce forecasts reliability and to work closely with other departments (cross checks with supply hypothesis)
- To assist in developing tools for forecasting and analysis purposes, and to propose concrete actions to improve sales, margin or Opex (Operating expenses) indicators
- Ensure statutory and management reportings are consistent with Group’s policies and procedures
To monitor New-Zealand consolidated P&L from Sales to BOI (Business Operating Income) Actual reportings, forecasts and R&O (Risks and Opportunities)
- Ad-hoc analysis and support to any project
This includes providing Sanofi Pasteur management with timely/quality information on Country performance
Priorities
Controlling
- Supporting and evaluating the performance of Sanofi Pasteur ANZ, in terms of Sales, Operating expenses, Perso Costs and Headcount, thereby providing high level financial analysis and other information allowing Sanofi Pasteur Australia management to make informed business decisions
- Providing financial support in all aspects of business unit projects. This includes supporting project approval process and follow up of actual costs versus budgeted assumptions.
- Manage communication lines from Sanofi Pasteur to the wider s-a ANZ finance and controlling department
- Act as a champion, within the Sanofi Pasteur Australia team, to improve operating processes
- Ensure correct and accurate classification of all expenditure pertaining to Sanofi Pasteur Australia and detailed cost-controlling
Business Planning:
- Contribute to the annual Sanofi Pasteur Country Strategic / Business Plan process and all recurring forecasting and planning requirements that arise throughout the year in areas of controlling responsibility, in accordance with local and corporate requirements
- Ensure the financial back-office planning process – F1 (Forecast revision 1) , F2 (Forecast revision 2), Budget, LRP (Long Range Plan) – across the Pasteur business
Responsibility for system entry, reporting and budget presentation pack
Reporting
- Provide monthly information for sales and P&L comments on Sanofi Pasteur ANZ performance to the Sanofi Pasteur Asia-Pacific region to Finance Business partner as necessary with respect of deadlines
Candidate:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Master in Finance, Accounting, Business
- Financial analysis skills
- Experience in a similar role of 1-2 years
- Knowledge of current accounting standards
- Systems skills to manage data effectively
