Able to perform set-up on all machines in Packaging department with little or no direction, perform a variety of highly skilled operations to exacting standards, diagnose and troubleshoot/repair packaging equipment when mechanical problems occur, evaluate and solve product/process problems, perform all preventative maintenance according to PM schedule and requirements on above machines, in conjunction with outside vendors and internal engineers, assist with an equipment upgrades/new installations, assist in training co-workers (e.g., other specialists) in the above functions, communicate effectively and proactively with engineering, supervisor, Lead and co-workers, maintain detailed machine logs and associated documentation for all equipment in packaging area, identify safety issues/potential,maintain clean and orderly work area, strict adherence to SOPs and GMPs.

Preferred: 3 years of experience in machine set-up and troubleshooting Packaging Machinery, 2 of which must be internal experience in the Packaging Specialist function.
