• Ongoing analysis of market opportunities including business cases for the Head of Business Development, the local Leadership Team and global functions as needed
• Lead the management and planning of the product portfolio at Sandoz Switzerland with the goal to maintain and expand our local portfolio effectively
• Evaluate and select new therapeutic classes, dosage forms, technologies and any other similar opportunities with a special view to differentiation
• Initiation and execution of a number of local negotiations with third-party development partners or suppliers for local license opportunities, with support from Legal Department
• Management of local agreements with third parties (in- and out-licensed portfolio)
• Creation of 5-year forecasts and recommendations for global project initiatives
• Further forecasting and calculation of the related financial impact parameters e.g. NPV's (net present value) on new global or local project ideas
• Competitive intelligence, e.g. close tracking of marketing authorizations granted to competitors
• Prepare and lead regular portfolio decision meetings held with the Swiss Leadership Team and other involved functions
• Work closely with Regulatory Affairs, Marketing and Supply Chain to ensure "first to market" launches
• Effective tracking of our own registration procedures and early initiation and coordination of actions to prevent launch delays

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

• At least a Scientific Master Degree (i.e. Pharmacist), ideally a PhD
• A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a similar Business Development position , ideally within generics and experience in Portfolio Management and/or Marketing of Generics
• A near native level of German, fluent English (written & spoken), French desirable
• Very communicative with strong negotiation skills
• Very good Microsoft Office skills
