Necessary Skills / Attributes
Responsibilities • Design next generation wireless communication products • Create system specification based on the high level concept and system simulation result • Develop algorithms for wireless modem and verify the performance in link level simulation • Develop system architecture in the area of RF, baseband and application • Lead design, verification and implementation modem algorithms in digital circuits and/or software Qualifications • The preferred candidate will have a minimal 3 years of industry (or good match academic research) experience in an advanced technology development environment. • Expert in digital signal processing and wireless communication systems design • Hands-on design experience on modem or high-speed signal processing datapath development: digital filters, FFTs, synchronization, channel estimation, equalization, MIMO detection, error-correction codes, etc. • Hands-on design experience on the development of real-time algorithms in VHDL/Verilog and embedded software on high performance multi-core SoCs. Good understanding of hardware software partitioning and resource/cost tradeoffs. • Familiar with CPU and DSP architecture, RTOS and software optimization • Good understanding of RF system architecture, performance specification and measurement, RF/baseband interface. • Familiar with 3GPP standards • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills • Education – MSCS/MSEE, PhD preferred
