General Description
Title: QA Engineer (mult) Location: Samsung Electronics America, Inc., Bridgewater, NJ Duties: Create automated test infrastructures for mobile devices. Evaluate product functionality, create test strategies and test cases to assess product quality. Implement test cases. Build and maintain an automated test infrastructure for multiple product lines. Execute test cases to pinpoint problems. Work with a team of mobile handset engineers to verify new features and help drive product quality to the highest standards. Establish processes and tool set to maintain automation scripts, and generate regular test reports. Apply advanced knowledge of mobile embedded systems or mobile devices. Design test plans and create concrete test cases for new features. Utilize in-depth knowledge of testing Android systems/devices. Works closely with MQL (Mobile Product Engineering Lab) Test Lead (TL) team in the US and software engineering and development group in HQ. Utilize experience in cloud computing in wireless telecommunications and work with CDMA handset features and applications including BREW, SMS, EMS, Multimedia, data, or MIP. Apply advanced knowledge of LTE and 3G wireless networks. Manage, plan, organize, and prioritize multiple engineering support assignments and projects. Utilize a high competency level in communication of technical information. Communicate through email and reports, or orally, complex technical matters to an audience of equal or higher level technical competency.

Necessary Skills / Attributes
Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and two (2) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in wireless software development or QA/Testing engineering in the telecommunications industry. Will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in wireless software development or QA/Testing engineering in the telecommunications industry, or any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. Experience must include: 1. Two years of experience designing test plans and creating concrete test cases for new features. 2. Two years of experience using LTE, CDMA, EVDO, UMTS, and GSM in wireless network systems. 3. Two years of experience working with wireless network systems. 4. One year of experience with specific feature validation protocols such as carrier aggregation, CSFB, and SRLTE. 5. One year of experience delivering integrated and tested software for CDMA mobile handsets. 6. One year of experience in wireless carrier-based testing for US operator requirements and mobile devices. 7. Strong problem solving and analytical skills, communication (verbal and written) skills, and organizational and documentation skills. 8. Proven experience leading technical teams.
