VIE - Process & Automation Engineer (M/W) (H/F)

Job description

The incumbent will work on improving the overall plant efficiency through:
    The application of World Class Manufacturing principles using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools Focus on production and business system automation along with facility layout to enhance utilization of available process areas. Provide hands-on assistance to manufacturing personnel on the production floor in order to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions. Leading, directing, developing, and training personnel on new processes, equipment, and procedures as required along with establishing process documentation.
The candidate will have to plan, devise, design, and participate in the completion of capital and non-capital projects in all technical areas of the plant. They are also responsible for compliance with applicable corporate and governmental guidelines, rules, and regulations pertaining to health, safety, and environmental issues.

Desired profile

Bachelor's Degree Industrial Engineer with a focus in Automation is highly preferred. Bachelor's in Chemical, Materials, and Mechanical Engineer will be considered. Self-motivated with the ability to gather and coordinate resources to complete projects Training and demonstrated understanding of statistical methods especially relating to SPC and Six Sigma principles Experience with process optimization and new process implementation in a production environment Thorough knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, systems and equipment. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical and follow through skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds regardless of race, religion, age, sex, disability or political affiliation.
