1. RESPONSIBILITY:
Ā·  To take all reasonable care during the performance of their work for the Health and Safety of themselves and others affected by their acts or omissions. To co-operate fully with TechnipFMC, regulatory authorities and/or third parties to ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
Ā·  Demonstrate behaviour consistent with TechnipFMC vision and core values.
Ā·  To work in a competent, safe and professional manner, and to service both internal and external customers in all work environments. Ensuring that all work undertaken is done with Health and Safety as the main priority.
Ā·  Ensure the efficient and effective management of the activities carried out by the Technical OPS/Engineer support.


2. AUTHORITY:
Ā·  Authority to stop an unsafe act or condition without fear of reprisal and with the full backing of TechnipFMC Management.
Ā·  Fully authorised to act for and on behalf of TechnipFMC in all matters relating to Contractors and Subcontractors.
Ā·  Management and motivation of direct reports and seconded personnel.


3. MAIN TASKS:
Ā·  Provide engineering support directly to the customer in relation to TechnipFMC equipment
Ā·  Present and discuss engineering proposals to internal and external stakeholders
Ā·  Specify, design and provide technical oversight of modifications to existing designs to meet changing customer requirements. Make associated changes to equipment drawings and part reports.
Ā·  Lead investigation and disposition of field non-conformance reports
Ā·  Collate information on operational performance of TechnipFMC equipment and feedback to appropriate product group for action
Ā·  Produce equipment procedures (TST, THI, PSM, RRP and ICP)
Ā·  Verify designs using classical analysis techniques where appropriate. Analysis must be formalized in TechnipFMC's standard product design documentation
Ā·  Prepare part reports specifying the necessary technical information for production of a part
Ā·  Prepare drawing packages to enable the creation of 2D and 3D design layouts
Ā·  Assist in development of more junior members of the department through technical mentoring
Ā·  Perform other general engineering or related activities that may be required


4. MANDATORY SW-APPLICATIONS TO BE MANAGED:
Ā·  MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Ā·  SAP
Ā·  TeamCentre (TCE)


5. RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE AND FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Required

Ā·  Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Ā·  Engineering Problem Solving aptitude.
Ā·  Innovative and autonomous worker requiring low levels of supervision.
Ā·  Highly developed interpersonal skills, particularly an ability to negotiate with multiple stakeholders in difficult scenarios.
Ā·  Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical information to technical and non-technical individuals using verbal and written mediums.
Ā·  Ability to build relationships with the customer and contribute productively in team environments.
Ā·  Ability to work effectively and positively in an uncertain and changing environment.

Desired

Ā·  Experience in the oil & gas industry or similar technical environment. Operational experience is particularly valuable
Ā·  Experience with TechnipFMC equipment or similar competitor equipment
Ā·  Chartered engineer or evidence of working towards chartered status
Ā·  Experience of using SAP and Teamcentre.
