In the role of Process Engineer I, you are responsible for defining and enhancing the processes required to ensure production of cost effective and quality products. This position contributes to our vision the person may:

• Serve as primary interface with external customers;
• Analyzes changes in customer specs in order to flow them down to manufacturing;
• Interfaces with product engineering, manufacturing leadership, and support teams to meet business unit goals;
• Supports standardization initiatives across business units;
• Coordinates with engineering team to implement company engineering strategies;
• Defines material sorting and grouping to match the process sequence and aid manufacturing;
• Documents sorting to match the process sequence;
• Resolves problems related to the manufacturing process;
• Identifies customer contract quality requirements and ensures implementation on all programs through quality plans and inspection and inspection and test plans;
• Capitalizes projects using the “I see I do" process;
• Improves process layout to optimize product flow;
• Configures work station design, layout and tooling to optimize operator performance;
• Uses video analysis to improve work methods and procedures;

Education and/or Experience

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge/Skills
• Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) - Basic
• Blueprint and schematics reading - Basic
• Problem Solving, root cause analysis and corrective action - Basic
• Ability to design layouts and fixtures to aid manufacturing (AutoCAD) - Basic
