About the role

We are currently seeking candidates wishing to commence a 4 year apprenticeship in February 2021 to become trade qualified as an Aircraft Mechanic.

Job requirements

The successful candidate will have completed the Higher School Certificate, or equivalent, with a focus on Maths and Physics; and will display a genuine interest in and knowledge of the aerospace industry demonstrated by one or more of the following:

·  • previous work experience;
·  • participation in home or recreational mechanical / maintenance activities; and/or
·  • performance in related school subjects.

For the duration of the 4 year apprenticeship program, through a combination of on the job training and attendance at TAFE to complete the Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical), Safran apprentices will gain the following experience & qualifications:

·  • Gas turbine engine repair & overhaul;
·  • Assembly / Disassembly and Detail Inspection experience;
·  • Experience & qualifications on one or more of Safran engine variants (including MTR390 / RTM322 / APU 323 / 329)
