Job Description
Position Summary:
Pilot plant and laboratory support for product and process development
Position Responsibilities:
· Provide process and pilot support to R&D team for protein technology development and pilot trials
· Execute lab process and pilot experiments defined by R&D process engineers and protein chemists following equipment SOP’s and operating standards
· Maintain food processing plant sanitation standards, including equipment CIP and other cleaning as needed
· Responsible for operating, maintaining, and basic trouble shooting of lab and pilot equipment
· Contribute to a safe and environmentally friendly workplace with good team spirits
Position Qualifications:
· BS or BA from an accredited 4 year program in food science, biotechnology, or related field
· Preferable 1 year or more experience in industrial environment with chemical or food processing pilot plant.
· High school diploma acceptable with adequate experience level and demonstrated capability
· Ability: pilot equipment operation and basic maintenance and troubleshooting, routine problem solving
· Knowledge of: Basic mechanical repair of food pilot plant equipment. Machine shop skills a plus.
· Occasional travel for external pilot trial (up to 10%) is required
