Job Description

Position Purpose-

The position is responsible for Cyber Security, Automation, Instrumentation and Programming of the plant.

Key Accountabilities-

·  Maintain the architecture, hardware and software by following specific methods and standards.
·  Carry out the automation activities in relation with their counterparts and other concerned services
·  Participate to  the deployment of automation projects
·  Ensure the safety of people and property
·  Ensure process control/ functional analysis (applicative software)
·  Ensure Cyber security
·  As site engineer, must install backup &antivirus agent, restore a computer, install and replace a network switch, start/stop a virtual machine, create an incident, request an access to privilege account via bastion, install a patch, create incidents with existing CMMS
·  As site process control administrator, have all skillsets to manage local user and site bastion account, add a         computer to the OT domain install and restore a computer, install backup & antivirus agent, schedule patch installation, start redundant environment, authorize VPN access for a partner, install and replace a network switch, start and stop virtual machine.
·  Deal with safety implemented systems (design & control, implementation, maintenance)
·  Responsible for network systems: design, control, implementation and maintenance
·  Ensure domain administration for all servers, switches etc.
·  Could ensure back up of maintenance is performed on IT equipment
·  Ensure full design and implementation of the automation system
·  Day to day duties:
·  Mentoring and/or Training of the production workers
·  Monitor the implementation of standard methods of automation
·  Work with the automation department from global engineering
·  Automation projects in development and commissioning
·  Test new product suppliers
·  Hardware and Software Upgrade Support
·  Standard modifications
·  Calibration of critical parameter sensors
·  Maintenance
·  Set-up maintenance contract with suppliers
·  Standard exchange of equipment or repair
·  Remote business maintenance
·  Follow ISO and GMP standards
·  Regulatory controls and internal rules:
·  Respects regulatory constraints and Roquette defined standards
·  Integrate external and internal regulatory modifications
·  Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by management

Technical competencies-

Knowledge of:

·  Analog sensors (PT, TT, FT, WT …) and switches
·  Actuators (control valves, valves, variable frequency drives)
·  Analyzers and specific detectors.
·  Fieldbus network (hart, Ethernet, profibus, Modbus …)

Job Qualifications-

Education:  Technical Degree and / or equivalent working experience in computer science, instrumentation, automation or industrial computing. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience:  3 to 5 years of experience working in the industry in a similar role.

Business Trips (Percentage): Working on rotation up to 3 weeks away from home

Specific requirements:

The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time.

This position requires the employee to lift at least 25 pounds infrequently.

Business Trips (Percentage): Working on rotation up to 3 weeks away from home for one year and then based in Portage La Prairie.
