Job description

The individual hired for this position will be a part of Maintenance Systems within the Facilities and Engineering group at client site. The position will be a 1 year contract providing expertise as a Technical Writer / Document Manager. This individual will work cross-functionally with subject matter experts to update engineering and maintenance documentation. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, approximately 8 AM to 5 PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

·  Work with Mechanics/Instrument Technicians to complete red-lines of documents
·  Collaborate between the Mechanics/Instrumentation Technicians to create clear description and justification
·  Provide preliminary document formatting
·  Collaborate with supervisors for training updates (i.e. review training material to determine if updates are needed)
·  Collaborate with MRO when part numbers are changed to ensure the parts are on the BOM
·  Initiate EMDCR for maintenance plan changes, part number and quantity changes, new equipment
·  Collaborate with safety for review of safety changes
·  Route physical documents for review to Maintenance Supervisor, Manager, and Maintenance Systems

·  Managing a CHANGE OWNER role in TrackWise
·  Planning/Endorsing records
·  Initiating of Change records
·  Opening assessments to functional areas impacted by document changes
·  Closing of Change records
·  Managing the COORDINATOR role in Condor
·  Author Document changes
·  Initiate Workflows for Released and Withdrawn Documents
·  Initiate Approval Process
·  Release and make Effective documents in Condor (No Impact Documents only)
·  Processing Documents
·  Formatting Word documents to meet Facilities and Condor Standards
·  Review FE-DCR (Document Routing Sheet) for Review Completion
·  Review submitted Training Assessments for Impact New/Revise Documents
·  Review document Summary and Justifications for alignment with document changes and accuracy
·  Submit changes for electronic system changes (i.e. SAP updates)
·  Filing GMP Papers
·  Access to the Quality Vault
·  Facilities Unit registration
·  WI0272 Training
·  Supporting Project Life
·  Assigning Turn Over Packages Document Numbers from FileMaker
·  Support Project Life as Change Owner for updates to Impacted Facilities document changes
·  Support Project Life as an Author/Coordinator for updates to No Impact Facilities Documents

Skills

·  Required Skills and Experience:
·  Demonstrated interest/experience in the biotechnology industry
·  A clear, concise writing style and the ability to tailor content to specific audiences
·  Excellent editing and proofreading skills
·  Excellent planning, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills
·  Able to learn new technical concepts quickly
·  Comfortable shifting between projects and wearing a variety of hats
·  A track record of successfully working with multi-functional teams to deliver quality content

Preferred Skills and Experience:

·  Experience as a CHANGE OWNER in TrackWise
·  Experience in a COORDINATOR role for Condor
·  Experience with SAP
·  Experience with Microsoft Word
·  Previous experience as a technical writer
·  BS in a technical degree (such as Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Industrial Systems; new graduates will be considered)
