The Summer @ Roche Intern Program has been developed to provide students with a fun yet rewarding summer through hands-on experience and numerous opportunities to network with other interns as well as employees in the organization. Additionally, we help our students meet their career development and educational goals while potentially building a future with the Roche organization. Leveraging the education you received already, we hope to give you an opportunity to grow and develop with us! Additionally, the selected intern will be asked to participate in various intern activities, which may include workshops with leaders in the organization, our mentor program, and our Poster Symposium among other activities.

Projects & Tasks:

·  Provide an opportunity to improve efficiency and capability matching
·  Assist in determining skill gaps and bench strength of Assay and Reagent Development organization
·  Assess and refine portfolio and resource management tools and processes to maximize efficiency of labor force.
·  Observing, gathering data and analyzing informatics
·  Assessing and refining processes for portfolio and resource management
·  Collaborating with multiple internal teams
·  Assisting in identifying opportunities for improvements of tools or processes
·  Streamlining processes and ensuring quality and accuracy

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university during program calendar year 2020
·  Completed at least 2 year of college/university by program start to be eligible for the program
·  Major in Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or related field
·  Must have a ≥3.0 GPA
·  Minimum availability of 12 weeks
·  List previous experience and/or job duties, either through course work or industry/academia
·  List participation in student organizations and/or other leadership experience

Other Qualifications:

·  Letter of recommendation(s) are preferred
·  Basic knowledge of data analysis, business processes, lean practices, and business organizational practices
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
·  Self-motivated
·  Proficiency with Word, Google suite, and data analysis tools

Expected Intern Learning:

·  Develop an understanding of how academic theories are enacted in an industry field
·  Experience business analytics in an industrial environment
·  Team responsibilities and collaboration
·  Practical, hands-on experience with portfolio and resource management
·  Identifiable project completion for a major biotech company
