The Summer @ Roche Intern Program has been developed to provide students with a fun yet rewarding summer through hands-on experience and numerous opportunities to network with other interns as well as employees in the organization. Additionally, we help our students meet their career development and educational goals while potentially building a future with the Roche organization. Leveraging the education you received already, we hope to give you an opportunity to grow and develop with us!

Job Description:

·  The selected intern will apply their education and skills to work with stakeholder inputs, project team members, as well as PMO leadership on a variety of live project activities.
·  This internship is an excellent opportunity to exercise project management practices in a live PMO environment and build networks/relationships to aid future job searches.
·  Summer intern projects may consist of continuous improvement opportunities in the PMO such as:
·  Reporting, Knowledge Transfer, Resource Management, Requirements Management, Facilitation and Planning, Training for non-PMs and on the job support/managing projects which may include managing minutes, action items, project documentation, schedule, change control, risk and schedule.

Additionally, the selected intern will be asked to participate in various intern activities, which may include workshops with leaders in the organization, our mentor program, and our Poster Symposium among other activities.

Qualifications

·  Basic knowledge of project management practices such as scheduling, budgeting, stakeholder analysis, resource management, and risk management.
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
·  Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, email software.
·  Some experience/exposure to Microsoft Project Management software is a plus
·  Excellent communication, planning, analysis and emotional intelligence are requested. Looking for a mature, detail oriented critical thinker who can work independently and proactively to drive improved business processes.

Program Requirements:

· 
Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university during program calendar year 2019

· 
Completed at least 2 years of college/university to be eligible for the program.

· 
Must have a ≥3.0 GPA

· 
Minimum availability of 12 weeks (Required start on or before program Welcome Reception and end date on or after Summer End Poser Symposium).

· 
Previous experience in the job duties listed, either through course work or industry/academia

· 
Participation in student organizations and/or other leadership experience

What You Will Learn:

·  Facilitating effective meetings
·  Tactical coordination of timelines/budgets
·  Execution, monitoring, and analysis of cross-functional plans
·  Overseeing risk management activities, including critical path analysis, risk assessment, scenario creation and analysis of potential corrective actions
·  Compiling and communicating project reports to inform project tradeoff decisions
·  Guiding and managing preparation of deliverables for project milestone reviews
·  Continuous Process Improvement.
