Roche device development is focused on creating the next generation of medication delivery technologies. Within the device development function, the Human Factors Engineering team works with many other engineering disciplines to ensure that the devices developed are safe, effective and usable when used by patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals worldwide.

We are offering an internship for students with an interest in medical technology to work as an Industrial/ User experience/ Graphic Designer to support the development of drug delivery devices, instructional material and medical device software user interfaces. The successful candidate will support the human factors engineering group at Roche in developing safe, effective and usable medical devices.

You will:

·  Create instructions for use and training materials for medication delivery devices
·  Support teams on early stage concept generation and design development
·  Work on software user interface designs for healthcare mobile apps
·  Support human factors engineers and clinical specialists in performing task analysis and product use related risk analysis

You are currently studying a bachelor's degree or master's degree in an applicable discipline, which may include human factors engineering, usability engineering, risk management and as a plus industrial / product design, user experience design, graphic design or user interface design.

Furthermore you have:

·  A precise way of working you like to work independently
·  Good statistical skills as a plus
·  Good illustration skills with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop as a plus
·  Excellent English oral and written skills

The desired start date of the internship is January 2017 or upon availability - please clearly indicate your preferred starting date and duration (6-12 months) of the internship on your motivation letter.
