You will be part of the Business Processes & Supplier Collaborations team located in Basel. As intern you carry out data cleaning activities on master data for the Global List of Approved Suppliers (GLAS) system under guidance by a Business Process Manager and a GLAS Administrator. This requires compliance with a business process for checking data, analysis of cause, correction and prevention of unclean data validity and submitting change requests. In addition you will review the current department document management and storage solution, gain agreement for a new structure and content, and achieve a successful transition to the new solution.

Primary responsibilities and accountabilities will be to carry out business process group support by:

·  Cleaning the master data of direct materials supplied to sites managed by Supplier Quality and Product Validity (SQPV)
·  Enhancing the SQPV document management solution
·  Taking proactive action to improve the business processes in order to make gains in efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining quality
·  Project management including periodic reporting of project status

You furthermore:

·  Get insights into Pharma Technical Operations and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
·  Learn to interact with stakeholders
·  Learn how to design and organize a document management system and how to maintain and manage high quality data

You are an enrolled student in a Bachelor in Mathematics, IT, Business, Quality Management or a similar field.

Furthermore you are/have:

·  Good computing/IT skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. A plus is knowhow in document management systems such as Sharepoint
·  Able to evaluate, interpret and record scientific data accurately as well as to present it and discuss critically
·  Analytical thinking and methodical working with attention to detail and ability to prioritize and plan effectively
·  Team player with ability to function in a multi-disciplinary environment
·  Good written and verbal communication skills in English
