POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for hands on line support as well as providing team leadership to a functional team with general guidance from Management. In accordance with organization policies and practices, provides direction on daily activities and productivity goals. Motivates and provides guidance to team members, cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, identifies tasks and solutions, may facilitate team meetings. Represents the team, presenting group suggestions and recommendations on processes and procedures to management. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Minimum 60% Hands-on line support to include but not limited to: Build product, facilitate material availability, SAP transactions/confirm, packet review, audit processes, allocate resources, and calibrations. - Responsible for daily activities of the team and provides detailed direction to employees on processes. - Conducts and participates in Floor meetings. - Collaborates with the planners to develop the production schedule. - Ensures adherence to 5S, cycle times, hour by hour charts and standard work - Provides hands on training to functional team on daily work and changes in documented work processes such as SOP, MWI. - Troubleshoots basic problems and institutes corrective action. Escalates to Supervisor for additional guidance. - Provides performance feedback on employees to Supervisor or Manager. Escalates employee performance concerns to leadership. - Identifies and implements process improvements to reduce cycle time and improve Quality. Participates on continuous improvement teams. - Daily Capacity Planning - includes planning of team members daily assignments and resource allocation. - QCDS (Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety) maintenance/ daily end-of-shift meetings-includes maintaining team metric boards to reflect actual production results compared to established targets, as well as identification and root cause analysis of issues affecting production. - Participates in interview process for new hires. - Attends and leads team meetings, DMAIC meetings, and production meeting with planners. - Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal Training/Education:

·  Three years related experience with a High School Diploma

OR

·  Two years related experience with an Associates Degree

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·  Hands on experience in assembly
·  Knowledge of QSR regulations and ability to train others.
·  Strong communication skills
·  Ensures adherence to Lean, 5s, and safety policy and procedures
·  Ability to work with cross functional teams
·  Ability to use Microsoft Office products including excel, word, and power point
