·  Job facts

We are looking to recruit a high calibre Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) to join our UK Medical Liaison Team covering Roche's cancer immunotherapy portfolio in London, East Anglia and Kent. This field based role is a great opportunity for you to combine your scientific background and clinical expertise with your flair for communication and relationship building.

Reporting to the UK MSL Team Leader for Cancer Immunotherapy within Medical Affairs, you will ultimately be part of a Regional Key Account Management Team, responding to requests from healthcare professionals for medical/scientific information and providing medical education and appropriate clinical study support to the clinical operations group within Roche. You will manage the important liaison between the healthcare professional and the relevant internal functions at Roche, exploring and identifying opportunities for building partnerships that benefit both parties. The insight gained by your interactions with healthcare professionals will allow you to proactively contribute to strategic discussions to improve the quality and relevance of the research and data generated by the Company.

This role requires you to comply with Roche and other regulatory and industry procedures and standards, so you will also need to have a sound understanding of the NHS and the ABPI Code of Practice.

You're someone who wants to influence your own development. You're looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies.Where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.

To be successful in this role you will have a life sciences degree and/or proven experience of working in a clinical or scientific role within the pharmaceutical industry or the NHS. A higher degree and oncology disease area expertise are highly desirable, as is experience of working as an MSL or in a clinical environment. You will be skilled at understanding, analysing and interpreting data from clinical trials. Your ability for conveying complex concepts concisely combined with your excellent presentation skills will enable you to translate and communicate that data. Your positive and proactive approach combined with excellent communication, inter-personal and influencing skills will enable you to build and sustain partnerships in your locality. Planning and project management skills, combined with time management skills, will allow you to optimise and prioritise activities in order to deliver the most efficient service to your healthcare professionals.

If you are proud of contributing and feel you have the commitment to teamwork and innovation that we are seeking, then Roche is the organisation for you. In return we offer a competitive salary plus the excellent benefits you would expect from a blue-chip organisation, including a genuine interest in your development and progression.
