Objectives and Scope of Position:

The Medical Science Liaison is a field-based resource for HCPs, TAES and investigators, delivering the scientific information that they require in the context of their work, in accordance to local laws, regulations, codes and Roche SOPs.

Establish long-term, peer-to-peer relationships with TAEs end investigators in a given therapeutic field, they deliver quality interaction and services that bring value to physicians and that are aligned with Roche strategies, They also contribute to and implement the tactical/field medical plans and identify opportunities for collaboration between the company and the TAEs and investigators.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities

·  Acting as an information resource: A field-based resource for investigators and TAEs, the Medical Science Liaison deliver the scientific information that investigators and TAEs require in the context of their work, in accordance to local laws, regulations, codes and Roche SOP.
·  Building relationships: Establish long-term, peer-to-peer relationships with TAEs and investigators in oncology.
·  Contribute to medical planning: Contribute to and implement the tactical/field medical plans in collaboration with Medical Manager (MM)/therapeutic Medical leader.
·  Identifying opportunities for collaboration: Identify opportunities for collaborations between the company and the TAEs and investigators.
·  Help profile physician practices, needs, preferences and views of new data.
·  Determine physician interest in ongoing research and educational events.
·  Participate /support the Medical Manager in the execution of regional advisory boards.
·  Acquire physician perspectives on competitive compounds / clinical studies.
·  Provide support to speakers on the development of materials.
·  Respond to unsolicited questions from physician's in accordance to local laws, regulations, codes and Roche SOP, facilitate their needs of up to date scientific data including but not limited to publications of clinical trials, guidelines by ensuring they have the best quality available information they require.
·  Work with Medical Manager on the affiliate knowledge exchange strategy and execution, including preparation of manuscripts and scientific paper in their therapeutic area.
·  Under the direction of PD, provide support for identification of potential study sites feasibility assessments, site development plan, recruitment and retention and enhanced site management of phase lll a clinical studies.

Professional and Technical Requirements:

·  Education/Qualifications: Medical or scientific degrees.
·  Minimum: Health science degrees.
·  Strongly desired: PHD

Experience, Skills, Knowledge:

·  Professional experience within the pharmaceutical desirable but not mandatory.
·  Experience in therapeutic area strongly preferred.
·  Experience in delivery of scientific presentations.
·  Experience in the principles and techniques of data analysis, interpretation and assessment of clinical relevance for the purpose of understanding and communicating clinical study results.
·  Proven experiences in working with multidisciplinary team an asset.
·  Relationship with KOLs, other thought leaders, and external professional, disease, and research organizations is strongly preferred.
·  English knowledge highly desired.
·  Knowledge in data analysis and statistics for purpose of understanding clinical study results.
