Principle Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities

·  Provide professional and valuable medical perspective within relevant (disease)area under the leadership of disease area head as a representative of China Medical Affairs to ensure excellence of new product planning
·  Keep the momentum as an expert within relevant (disease)area and agile to external/internal impactful changes
·  Partner with other functions to identify and address the relevant medical needs of clinical practice, to successfully support the early launch of new Roche product(s) to maximize the benefits for patients
·  On time, quality and within budget delivery of the relevant part of the medical plan
·  Support China registration strategy identification for new product through periodically updating medical strategy to reflect the change of the competitive landscape and critical business strategy change if appropriate
·  Actively build up internal & external partnership for assigned product(s)/area by acting as point of primary contact from medical science team to ensure clinical development execution and launch excellence
·  Work closely with PD, strategy planning, regulatory, business unit and other medical functions, including epidemiology/outcome research, medical education, medical publications, pharmacovigilance etc. to ensure the optimal execution of clinical development and launch excellence of new product(s)
·  Develop and maintain a network of opinion leaders and experts in the assigned therapeutic areas in order to maintain and reinforce the scientific leadership of the company and also bring back valuable insight
·  To be responsible for the medical scientific elements for any data-generation activities needed for the assigned product(s)/area
·  Ensure appropriate scientific and medical compliance, governance and risk management with the framework of optimized patient centric risk/benefit in the responsible therapeutic areas

Qualification and Experience

Education/Qualifications

·  Master Degree in Clinical Medicine or above
·  At least 2 years' MNC pharmaceutical company experience in medical manager role(working experience in oncology will be required)

Leadership Competencies

·  Ability to drive the delivery of commitment in a matrix team
·  Experienced strategic thinking and planning skills

Job Required Competencies

·  Good knowledge of assigned TA/disease area
·  Good communication skill
·  In-depth understanding of the commercial & regulatory environment in local market
·  Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align with wide range of stakeholders
