As a IT Professional – Bioinformatics Software Engineer your responsibility is data analytics from genome sequencing. You work closely with Business Partners and developers in global teams; including Poland, San Francisco and Basel. You share knowledge with scientists, business analysts and developers about bioinformatics. You participate in our internal workshops and sharing knowledge sessions - Bioinformatics Community of Practice. You support research activities in genomics and cancer exploration. Together with your team you are also responsible for support of various areas like: Clinical Trials, Diagnostics and Early Stage Drug Development.

You bring:
·  Scientific programming experience (R, Python, Matlab, etc.) and familiarity with bioinformatics tools commonly used in genomics.
·  Knowledge about clustering, data classification, feature selection, predictive analysis, etc
·  Understanding of biological concepts and experimental methods commonly used in molecular biology and interest to learn more
·  Ability to develop and implement new problem-tailored analytical algorithms
·  A PhD degree in bioinformatics, biology, biophysics, computer science or other related discipline, familiarity with good software development practices (version control, testing, documentation) and oncology area background and laboratory experience is a plus
