Job Title: Finance Analyst (6 Monthcontract)

Department: Country Clinical Operations

Reports to: Manager, Investigator & CRO Payment

Objective:

Responsible for the North America Region clinical trial study budget forecasting and calculating clinical site payments. Accountable for the best estimate of the budget forecast and accuracy on investigator payments while maintaining the data in the Roche database systems.

Accountabilities:

Study Budget Forecasting

·  Set up and input initial study budget to Congos based on the clinical site budgets
·  Plan and organize budget review meetings with Local Study Team (LST)
·  Monthly study forecast update-consulting and working with LST for study status

Site and Investigator payment

·  Generate and submit site and investigator payment request to Corporate Finance on a quarterly or monthly basis according to the site contract
·  Ensure accuracy and compliance with Roche policies related to site and investigator payments
·  Perform payment reconciliation as needed

Provide support to LST on financial information

·  Provide support to LST on financial information related to their studies as to reduce variance in study forecast
·  Provide LST with guidance on financial best practices, helping LST in forecasting activities and management of project related expenses.
·  Facilitate solution on forecasting and payment

Maintain the data in systems

·  Update and maintain the vendor and contract information on the in-house payment system
·  Update and maintain study status and forecast information on Congos
·  Ensure the accuracy of the payment information on the systems
·  Ensure it is the “best estimate” of the study forecast

Administration Support

·  Performs a variety of administrative activities in support of a functional area's processes
·  Track and control of processes, projects and activities in a confidential, professional manner within corporate/department policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education

·  4-year University Degree (Accounting/Finance preferred)
·  Working towards CPA designation is a strong asset

Skills / Knowledge

·  Strong Microsoft Excel skills
·  Effective communicator
·  Good at navigating computer systems
·  Analytical skills and Mathematical skills are required
·  Excellent prioritization and organization skills
·  Problem solving ability
·  Able to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships

Experience

·  Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required
·  Exposed to multi-work processes (e.g. AP/PO process for different countries)
·  Experience in extracting financial information from legal agreementis necessary
·  Accounts Reconciliation and Accounts payable experience is required
·  Clinical research experience is an asset
