Roche's Digital Biomarkers team is looking for a creative and aspiring mobile solutions designer/architect to help us move forward in the new era of healthcare, where for us this is more than a job. Roche Digital Biomarkers is a multi-disciplinary team within Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED) Informatics. Here, a group of talented and passionate colleagues are working on ground-breaking research to shed new light on diseases and ultimately improve development of new drugs for millions of patients. The Digital Biomarkers Technical Team designs and develops end-to-end technical ecosystems enabling digital science for a range of diseases, including Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease. Patient facing applications that run on smartphones and wearables are being designed and developed specifically for clinical studies to support novel ways of conducting research.

The Position

As a Mobile Solutions Designer/Architect, you will be working with disease specialists, clinical researchers, software product managers and data analysts to enable innovation in the clinical space that will allow patients to get better treatments in the future. In this role, you will be i) designing and architecting digital biomarker mobile apps collecting high frequency sensor data, ii) translating new product requirements into re-usable mobile solutions features which can be added to the Digital Biomarkers mobile solutions platform, and iii) drive and contribute to end-to-end design and architecture for the Digital Biomarkers mobile solutions platform.

This position requires a passionate and experienced mobile solutions designer/architect with strong technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including:

Designing and prototyping new innovative features for digital biomarker applications

· 
Coordinating and contributing to design and architectural work carried out by a group of Scientific Technical Managers and Mobile Developers

· 
Identifying and developing innovative ideas for highly engaging patient facing mobile sensor apps

· 
Providing guidance and direction to mobile development project teams

Key qualifications:

· 
MSc level or above in computer science, business informatics or a related field

· 
5+ years designing and developing Android and/or iOS applications

· 
3+ years leading software development teams

· 
Proven track record of designing innovative mobile solutions

· 
Strong conceptual thinker

· 
Ability to analyze product requirements and translate into practical and re-usable designs for mobile solutions

· 
Deep understanding of core Computer Science concepts

· 
Strong object-oriented design and programming skills

· 
Ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team and communicate clearly to different stakeholders

· 
Quality mindset and great attention to detail
