Reporting to the E2E BPO for Plan to Deliver, the Business Capability Owner is an experienced Leader in executing and improving the Produce Product process, associated system(s), master data, performance indicators and in driving design and improvement of business performance.

The Produce Product BCO acts as a change agent, focused on improving business capability (process, system, data and analytics), to enable End-to-End business results, including compliance, responsiveness, reliability, agility, cost and asset management efficiency.

The Produce Product BCO is accountable for business process design including Key Performance Indicators, Process Health Indicators, and analytics needed for core processes. The Produce Product BCO is also accountable for defining system requirements with associated data elements and rules, by partnering with other Business Capability Owners, Business Analysts, Business System Owners, internal and external customers/suppliers to ensure End-to-End solutions that optimize performance across functions and processes.

The Produce Product BCO is accountable for keeping the process execution harmonized and aligned across the different organizations.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks

·  Drives the design/implementation of breakthrough solutions/new ways of working within context of strategic projects (i.e. ASPIRE, Supply Chain Transformation).
·  Leads the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives within Produce Product by collaborating with functional representatives within the Capability.
·  Identifies and creates solutions to resolve Produce Product processes, systems, performance indicators and/or data concerns.
·  Defines KPIs / PHIs and Analytics needed for core processes, monitors performance and reports on process improvement progress
·  Challenges status quo and targets break-through innovations. Benchmarks internally and externally and brings best practices to Roche.
·  Ensures appropriate documentation of the desired state of processes and associated systems, data and analytics at the appropriate level
·  Ensures appropriate training documentation development and execution Brings re-design proposals to the attention of the “Capability Council” (Design Authority) for final endorsement, as appropriate
·  Chair and Lead the Capability Communities (BPms/BCMs, systems super users, reporting/analytics SPOCs, master data SMEs, other SMEs as needed).
·  Lead decision-maker for own process, and makes recommendations regarding the best network options for the end to end business processes
·  Actively collaborates with other (E2E) Business Capability Owners, Business Capability Analysts, Business System Owners, SMEs, IT, functional organizations, Network BPOs, GBPMs, and others as appropriate

Qualifications

Education

·  Science or Engineering BS/BA is a must; advanced degree (MS, MBA) preferred in a technical, business, supply chain or pharmaceutical field
·  Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred
·  APICS and/or SCOR certification is a plus
·  Completion of formal training courses and seminars in executive leadership, business process management, supply chain management, finance, information systems/technology, and learning & development is desired

Experience

·  8+ years experience in business/operations in Manufacturing is mandatory
·  2+ years experience in Business Process Excellence and in applying LEAN methods and tools
·  Project/matrix leadership experience
·  Demonstrated delivery focus and execution
·  Cross-cultural experience is mandatory, international experience is preferred
