Bioinformatics Scientist

We are seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist enthusiastic at automating clinical relevant annotation and interpretation for NGS data, providing insights from knowledge mining databases/literatures to bridge genotype and phenotype, performing data analytics on clinical and genomic data, and ensuring the quality of our informatics platform for personalized medicine. You will work with our highly professional teams in both science and engineering to deliver the best genomic solution to the field.

Responsibilities Include:

·  Prototyping clinical interpretation workflows with NGS data
·  Developing, enhancing and QC annotation and interpretation methods
·  Benchmarking, validating and evaluating tertiary analysis pipelines
·  Data mining and analytics on public and internal data sources

Minimum Skills and Experiences:

·  PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or equivalent field; or Masters with >3 years of experience.
·  In-depth experience in tertiary analysis tools/algorithms/databases for sequencing data.
·  Good knowledge of public annotation and interpretation databases.
·  Good knowledge of best practices of clinical related reporting from NGS data.
·  Skills in data analytics or data science, e.g. predictive modeling from clinical data.
·  Good knowledge in genomics and/or statistics.
·  Proficiency in programming, e.g. Python, R, Java.
·  Experience with content creation, especially in oncology is a plus.
·  Familiarity with NGS secondary analysis is a plus.
·  Experience with text-mining is a plus.
·  Strong verbal and written communication skill.
·  Team player known for your fanatical attention to detail at scale in a fast-paced environment.
