We are looking the candidate to be based in Panama City Panama or San José Costa Rica.

Function Objective

As Access: support the business growth in Central America countries (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama) by ensuring the adoption of high medical value products to help clinicians' decisions to improve patient´s lives, and ultimately, influence the Health Care Systems to transform the decision process. To succeed in achieving this goal, the following scope need to be included: use of Health Economics, reimbursement and funding strategies and tools - utilize existing data, tools and analyses to increase the access level of Roche Diagnostics products - build, maintain and manage effective relationships with health authorities and therapeutic area experts.

As Business Developer: develop new business opportunities in Central America countries (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama​) by selecting strategic projects with high impact on business growth. Making it more competitive, expanding products or services and / or focusing on specific markets

Responsibilities

·  Based on previuos alignment process, develop the Market Access plans for Central America countries working with key internal and external stakeholders.
·  Ensure successful achievement of the Market Access plans and goals, implement tactical activities required to achieve objectives & timely uptake of High Medical Value Products (influence & drive change of the medical guidelines , preparation of value dossiers/cost-benefit and budget impact models); monitor continuously progress against plan and take corrective actions
·  Assessment of funding opportunities and achievement of reimbursement for products
·  Implementation of tactical activities to achieve funding objectives (ensuring relevant input in value/cost-benefit dossiers and / or reimbursement files , preparation or facilitation of HTA consultations).
·  Identifies key stakeholders and establishes relationships with key influencers and decision makers to facilitate optimal market access for new Roche Diagnostics CAC products and to maintain/optimize market access for existing products.

·  Contributes in shaping the healthcare environment and market access process in the therapeutic area domains where Roche Diagnostic Central America is active.
·  Anticipates new trends (national / international), influencing the market access environment and Roche Diagnostics business results.
·  Identify, evaluate and lead the implementation of strategic projects in alignment with the 3 years Key Business Drivers

Requirements

·  Biology, Chemist, Medical, Medical Technologist or other Life Science Degrees
·  In-depth knowledge of the In Vitro Diagnostics/ HealthCare market. Understanding of the HealthCare system (reimbursement system, funding sources, HC services delivery system), drivers of change; Public and Private set up.
·  Understanding the barriers to acceptance of new solution, ability to drive the change& adoption.
·  Understanding HECON model & ability to translate data into clear value messages
·  Proven track record of successful project management is a plus
·  Relation with Roche Pharma local affiliate
·  Pricing & negotiation with authorities
·  Preparation / submission of Value dossiers to authorities
·  Ability to initiate meaningful Clinical studies
·  Identification, mapping & management of relationships with top medical clinic financial stakeholders
·  Identification & management of relationships governmental bodies, MOH, evaluation committees, HTA agencies, national disease related institutes
·  Ability to influence medical guidelines and national policies
·  Ability to work in challenging, complex and uncertain situations
·  Travel time 30% to 40%
