POSTE :
Volvo Group Trucks Operations – Purchasing, Electronic and Electrical Sourcing Dept., is looking for a highly motivated Sourcing Buyer for Embedded Electronics portfolio to work in an international and challenging environment.
Embedded electronics include infotainment systems, active passive safety systems (sensors, cameras, radars, ECus…), input and output HMI, autonomous driving ,…
The portfolio is global (covering Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, UD trucks, Mack Trucks and Volvo JV:s). The work is conducted in a process flow where the Purchasing Sourcing, Projects & Operations activities are tightly connected through defined hand overs. Cross functional work with line organizations, including product development and project, in order to fulfill project gates and optimize quality, delivery, cost and feature targets is key activities.
The sourcing buyer we are looking for has experience, preferably from the automotive industry. We look for candidates ready to deliver world-class purchasing performance for the Volvo Group. Mission:
Source suppliers, drive development of purchasing segment strategies, negotiate contracts and manage the supplier relationship.
Scope:
Main scope of this position is sourcing of Infotainment systems and safety related electronics systems
Business and supplier base under the scope are global.
Core responsibilities and main deliverables :
- Negotiate supplier agreements and commercial issues.
- Meet targets of contracted MCL (material cost level).
- Lead cross-functional team to define and develop segment purchasing strategies.
- Lead cross-functional team to make supplier selections.
- Deliver to Projects and other internal customers on time.
- Monitor long term suppliers’ performances in terms of QDCF (Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Functionality).
- Keep data base in purchasing systems updated.
- Coordinate and prepare supplier management meetings.
- Act as supplier relationship host.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Business, Engineering or related field
- Previous experience in Purchasing and/or negotiation experience in a supplier/customer relationship. Automotive experience is beneficial.
- Previous experience in working in projects and a business oriented mindset with a financial and legal understanding
- Proficient in English
- Good communication skills.
- Technical curiosity . Electronic background would be a plus
- Analytical, logical and structured
- Positive attitude and target oriented approach
- Strong team player and the ability to take initiatives
- Multicultural experience is an asset
