Materials Management is part of Logistics Services within Group Truck Operations. We have more than 420 employees world-wide.
The scope of Materials Management is to plan the Volvo Group brands aftermarket supply chain from suppliers through the warehouse structure to dealers with the purpose to ensure the right customer service balanced with inventory and cost levels.
Position Description Support to product launch :
In the future launch phase of a new product in our vehicle range for the UD brand, we will push further the tracking, follow-up and support of customer satisfaction. The main challenge of this role will be to keep track and analyse the different factors influencing the spare parts availability and connect with various departments to secure information and actions are shared and progressing according to expectations. You will be part of our Materials Management Japan team, interacting with various local and foreign entities.
Main Roles & responsibilities:
- Review and analyse all customer orderliness for the new vehicle and provide inputs for supply decisions.
- Monitor technical changes having an impact on the aftermarket.
- Monitor urgent orders
- Create and feed a dashboard to communicate facts and figures around this initiative
- Support the material planners in solving potential issues linked to this initiative:
?Monitor the open orders
?Follow-up supplier performance
- Participate in new projects & activities upon other business requirements.
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree, preferably in mechanical engineering or logistics.
- Prior working experience in automotive aftermarket and inventory management is a merit.
- Any additional background in aftermarket field (product support, sales…) will be welcome.
Competences and skills:
- Fluent speaking & writing in English, and Japanese language skills are a merit.
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in the use of MS Office applications like Excel, Access and etc.
- Good communication skills, customer oriented.
- Target-driven, self-motivated and willing to take responsibility.
