SUPPLY CHAIN OPTIMIZATION PROJECT MANAGER H/F

Job description

Gent plant has initiated big changes both due to intralogistics optimization and to huge capacity increase.
Inbound flows have a big impact on the plant efficiency.
In order to support the plant reengineering, Regional Logistics department has to study flow changes for several types of parts.
The objective is always to generate savings in the complete supply chain (changing supplier is out of scope).
Included in a small regional team, you will get an overview of the current flows from supplier to point of use, having deep dialogues with buyers and suppliers, transport department, logistics service providers in contract with Volvo, logistics team of the plant, to find and implement the best flows for the situation :
As such, your main responsibilities will be :
- Investigate different flow solutions (physical, IT and financial) and prepare financial comparison with transport cost, material supplier inputs and plants inputs
?Present investigation result to appropriate Steering Committee
- Manage Supplier relationship for the study and the change
?Prepare and present to supplier with buyer and legal support both Requests For Quotation and logistics agreements
?Analyze supplier offer and align it
?Support buyer on logistics sides in negotiation
- In case of Logistic Platform
?Interface support with Logistics Services Purchasing
?Train stakeholders in logistic platform functionalities
?Logistic Platform Roll out Logistics window person
- Give input for business case to Logistics Project manager
- After GO decision for implementation
?Coordinate tests and implementations,
?Manage flows implementation with different actors (Plants, Purchasing, Logistics Services, Logistics Services Supplier, Financial Services).
?Secure the start up of the projects and identify blocking points.
Profile :
- Project management experience
- Experience in Automotive material, information & financial Flows
- Transport Process & Cost structure knowledge
- Supplier Management experience
- Significant knowledge in Supply Chain
- VSM experience
- Fluent English
- Flamish speaking appreciated
