The Sports Marketing Manager (SMM) drives the development and execution of regional sports-focused marketing initiatives. Through events, athletes, and influencers, the SMM builds local and regional brand affinity while paying into Red Bull’s global strategies.

·  Athletes & Influencers

Identify, develop and nurture relationships with new athlete talent that ensures we have the best and most relevant athletes on our roster and sports influencers that increase brand relevance.

Identify locally relevant athletes’ stories and help create opportunities to amplify their reach within and beyond the region

Establish a rich network in regional sports scenes to maintain awareness of emerging trends and opinions leaders

·  Event Initiatives & Projects

Lead the project management and execution of local and national Red Bull Sports Marketing event properties and their BTL activation plans in market

Oversee regional Sports Marketing resources in order to deliver highest impact with local events

Lead Red Bull brand activation strategy at supported 3rd party sports events within the region

Support the BU team with executing global Red Bull owned events and take ownership of their regional BTL activations through regional cross functional leadership

Support the BU team with executing athlete projects and sport events

·  Event Car Program

Lead the planning and execution of the Event Vehicle program

Contract and manage third party workforce and onsite logistics

Manage Event Car program budget and calendar

Evaluate requests and ideate on the best use of the assets to ensure highest impact

·  Collaboration & Discovery

Lead and/or partner with region team (sales, event logistics, and marketing) to ensure quality planning and execution of all Red Bull owned and supported Sports Marketing events in the region

Influence and contribute to the annual Sports Marketing Business Plan

Identify regional and local scenes that significantly influence brand image with our target consumers

Identify branded and non-branded sports content and stories for our owned and shared media channels

Support the Activation & Communications team to achieve optimal media outcome

Find and hire the right people to drive regional Sports Marketing initiatives

Manage direct reports towards annual regional business objectives

Enable a high-performing culture by focusing on individual, strengths-based development

Identify and train high potential employees for succession opportunities

Provide direct, consistent, and productive feedback in order to maintain quality performance

Create and maintain a culture that rewards relentless effort and exceptional execution in line with Red Bull’s values

Your experience includes:

(proven performance in)

· 
3+ years of experience in Marketing, preferably with a focus on sports, athletes, and consumers

· 
An understanding of traditional and non-traditional brand marketing strategies

· 
A history of thoughtful execution of innovative ideas

· 
A knowledge of and a knack for identifying a wide variety of sports trends and scenes on a regional and national level

· 
Management of collaborative projects from ideation through planning and execution

· 
Large budget management

· 
An understanding and working knowledge of marketing communications and storytelling with an emphasis on content in the digital and social media landscape

· 
A strong ability write, present, and share ideas articulately

· 
A history of coaching, leading, and influencing in order to foster a collaborative and creative environment

· 

Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred

· 

Must be fluent in English
