Job description
As Software Architect/Engineer, you’ll define development standards for the Media Technology & IT (MIT) development team as well as architectural guidelines for our in-house developed services. You’ll research and evaluate new concepts and approaches in the area of development. Additionally, you’ll oversee, plan and improve our (continuous) integration & delivery pipeline as well as implement and drive our MIT products with focus on software architecture.

· Lead and drive guidelines and standards for the MIT development team
You’ll define standards for the developer network as well as define and implement the “continuous” delivery pipeline.
· Research, evaluate and Implement concepts and approaches
You’ll perform market research in the field of software development, cloud, automation, etc. and adopt to new and future concepts.
· Work together with others to drive this topic
To understand the development team’s needs, you’ll work very closely with them and establish a good working relationship. Additionally, you’ll pioneer in terms of software development principles and concepts.
· Understand and drive automation thinking, concepts and guidelines
Within the Media Technology & IT departments as well as across developers, you’ll understand and drive automation thinking, concepts and guidelines.
Your experience includes:
(proven performance in)
·
A minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering (Development, Software Architecture)
·
Strong experience with software architecture and development (Spring Boot, J2EE, Vert.x, Reactive extensions…)
·
Knowledge of cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, Lambdas, etc.)
·
Strong interest / experience in automation concepts (Gradle, Ansible, Bamboo, Git, etc.)
·
Experience in fundamental web technologies (SQL, nosql, CDNs, NodeJS...)
·
Familiar with enterprise systems as well as clustering & high availability concepts
·
Experience in working in agile teams (Scrum, Kanban)
·
Strong communication skills & team player
·
Analytical and conceptual working style
·
Performance and result/solution orientated
·
High motivation and willing to constantly self-educate and learn new technologies
·
University degree in Computer Science/Information or similar
·
Fluent in English and German
