eDiscovery and Forensic Data Analytics

Our work centres around the analysis of large volumes of electronic data, often in response to crisis events such as legal disputes or regulatory investigations. We tackle complex challenges every day as part of one of the largest dedicated forensic technology practices in the world.

You may find yourself helping to

· 
search the personal computer and smartphone of an executive suspected of intellectual property theft

· 
identify e-mails containing evidence of price fixing

· 
look for hidden patterns within the global payments of a bank accused of money laundering

· 
search for evidence of fraud and abuse within a company’s finance system, helping to identify illegal activity within millions of transactions.

What you’ll do

You will work alongside industry-recognised specialists in computer forensics, electronic discovery, information governance and disclosure; as well as in fields such as big data, predictive analytics, machine learning and data visualisation.

You’ll be helping determine who did what, when and how, or discover meaningful patterns, measure historic events or predict the likelihood of future ones by analysing large data sets.

Speed of response is often critical to our clients, meaning you’ll be involved in constantly innovating and drawing on the very latest technologies. You may also help research new tools and technologies and develop new propositions to take to our clients.

What you’ll need

If you are naturally inquisitive, have an analytical mind and enjoy solving problems, we would be interested in talking to you. Candidates should also be prepared to travel as some of our opportunities can require team members to work at other PwC offices or client sites across the UK or overseas on a temporary basis.

You’ll need a 2.1 degree or be on target to achieve a 2.1 degree in a STEM related subject (Science / Technology / Engineering / Mathematics) and demonstrate a passion for a career in technology and how organisations use it. In Northern Ireland in some areas a 2 2 degree plus a Merit in a STEM Masters will be accepted. We determine whether you're on course for a 2.1. based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
