Job description

Job Title

Graduate Management Consulting Birmingham 2020
Job Description

Graduate programme
Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.

Consulting
You’ll get to work closely with the best in industry, finance and government in the UK and abroad, bringing fresh insights and motivation to the problems they face. Our clients might want us to help them enter new markets; address the challenges created by organisational change; or draw up a sustainability strategy that aligns their commercial objectives with broader environmental and social concerns.

Management Consulting
We help some of the world’s most significant organisations become even more effective quickly. We improve the way they operate; accelerate their growth; reduce their costs; manage their risks; develop their talent and change the way they do business. In doing so, we focus on their agendas and the big issues they need to deal with, both today and in the future.

You’ll build core skills on a two‑year market‑leading structured programme where you'll experience the full range of what we do, across different industries. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about what we do across our different consulting business areas and work with clients to drive innovation and growth, manage costs and operate effectively. This will help you decide where you might specialise within Consulting.

What you’ll do
You’ll typically find yourself working as part of a team of anything from 2 to 30 people or more, working on projects that can based anywhere from the UK to the USA, or Middle East to Africa. Our Client projects are resourced Nationally, so travelling and living away from home will be required. When you are not on a project you are expected to be based out of your home office.

You’ll spend a lot of time with clients at their base locations dealing with issues as they arise, and gaining valuable exposure to different types of projects, internal and external, and diverse industries.

You’ll carry out detailed analysis and help make recommendations that change our clients’ businesses. This experience, combined with deep technical training, an emphasis on continual learning through different projects and the opportunity to work on internal support roles to gain specialist knowledge from within the network, will equip you with the skills to really make a difference.

We’ll monitor your development so you know how you're doing and where you can improve. Before you graduate from the Foundation programme, your readiness to promote to Senior Associate will be assessed against the PwC professional to demonstrate you have the attributes required and are ready to operate at that grade.

At this early stage in your career you’ll have access to inspirational leaders and this, coupled with the quality of the training you'll receive, means you'll become a recognised expert in the profession.

What you’ll need
You'll need to have or be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course for a 2.1 based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.

When to apply
The deadline for applications is 27th October 2019
Upon completing your application, you should automatically get sent the links to complete our online assessments (GBA & SJT). The deadline to complete the online assessments is 28th October 2019.
We’ll let you know if you have passed the online tests and been invited to the video interview stage by 1st November 2019 and you will have until 8th November 2019 to complete the video interview.
