Procurement Business Partner – Supply Chain

Procurement play a key role in enabling Primark to deliver “Amazing Fashion at Amazing Prices” whilst supporting a significant store expansion programme and business transformation. The Procurement Business Partner – Supply Chain is a senior role will partner with our Supply Chain function, working across inbound, warehousing and logistics in new and existing markets, with a spend of >£300m.  You will develop and execute effective strategies to maximise commercial and operational benefit for our supply chain.  
Reporting into the Director of Procurement, you will be accountable to create, develop and execute effective strategies to maximise commercial, sustainability and operational benefits from these categories of spend.
Primark supply chain is predominantly based in Islip, Northamptonshire.

What we’re looking for
You’ll have 3-5 years experience in a Procurement Manager role, with subject matter expertise and market knowledge of Supply Chain. A demonstrated success in delivering multi-year strategies ensuring competitive commercial advantage. You’ll you proven success in collaborating closely with a wide range of key stakeholders from across the business to make our ambitions a reality. You’ll have expert knowledge of financial, legal contract negotiations, strong awareness of ethical sourcing and corporate social responsibility issues. You’ll have the ability to build strategic partnerships with key suppliers and proficient in preparing month end KPI reports and analysing costs and performance.
As well as the above, we’re looking for someone who can work in a fast paced organisation, and on top of that, you’ll be curious, enthusiastic and, it goes without saying, super skilled at planning and organisation.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Supply Chain
·  Partner with the Primark Supply Chain team to ensure that Primark have the right suppliers in place that deliver the right quality at the right price.
·  Develop Category plans with the Inbound, Logistics and Network development teams
·  Ensure Primark’s environmental and sustainability agenda is at the heart of all Supply Chain Procurement activity
·  Identify risks to existing Primark supply lines and mitigate through agreed strategies with Primark Supply Chain team.  
Compliance and Governance
·  Negotiate contracts with new and existing suppliers, ensuring contract terms achieve benefit to the organisation and govern the long-term relationships
·  Create and distribute guidance on how to procure items in the categories in scope to internal stakeholders to ensure category strategy is followed  
Contractual and Legal
·  Ensure Primark is adequately legally protected and insured when undertaking all aspects of procurement
·  Ensure compliance to contract approval policy via legal review and appropriate grant of authority for contracts and SOW’s  
Operational Effectiveness
·  Through category management, establish a robust supplier base that delivers the required quality, cost and service in compliance with Primark Ethical Trade Strategy.
·  Deploy appropriate technological solutions to ensure efficiency and best use of leverage in new methods e.g.; eRFX, auctions.  
E-sourcing and Systems
·  Assist in on-going development of E-sourcing strategy to suggest ideas and help drive initiatives to provide better tools and systems for Primark.
·  Ensure events are scheduled, prepared and managed to deliver best value through our e –sourcing tools Scanmarket, Keelvar.  
Complexity – Internal, Spend and Supply Market
·  Primarily partner with medium level complexity network of Manager, Head Of and Director level Primark stakeholders
·  Set agreed strategies and manage inbound, transport and warehousing sub-categories, supporting strategic automation programme
