Job Description

Business Partnering

Develop an understanding of the business being supported, being proactive to learn about products / services / markets
Support local stakeholders within the management unit to understand their engagement performance and the key drivers - including training and education
Production of MI, data analysis and other reporting for to further assist the understanding of engagement performance as appropriate
Support the business with complex process and administration queries and requests which are outside of the scope of EXL SoW

Financial Control / Management

Execute processes to ensure that the accounts accurately reflect the financial position of the business
Support the IT / expense / e-payables coding processes. Investigating and escalating as required
Help to ensure Finance processes and policies are adhered to. Escalate deviation and always be forward thinking about improvements
Support compliance and education around timesheet, suspense and other finance related processes

Plan / Budget / Forecast

Support the Finance work-stream in relation to Business planning, budgeting and forecasting

Working Capital Management

Review liquidity reporting, highlighting and following up on risk and opportunities
Monitor the business actions on WIP and debt items and highlight EL/EM underperformance to ensure it is escalated and dealt with
Meet with Engagement Partners and Engagement Managers on an “as needed” basis to discuss billing and cash collection actions
Work with Performance leaders to ensure Engagement Partners and Engagement Managers fully understand the lock-up cycle and how to deliver against their lock-up targets

Finance Community

Play a role in the broader finance community, including active participation in meetings, forums and projects
Be an advocate for change programmes delivered by Finance / KBS, including automation tools, self-service, standardisation and any other changes in ways of working

Ad-hoc Financial Administration

Any other financial administration duties relevant to the business finance agenda or that have a broader commercial implication

Skills and Experience

A 'level educated with B or greater in GCSE English and Maths
Relevant experience of accounting in an operational or professional services environment
Resilient and able to work with multiple and highly demanding stakeholders
Problem solving abilities
Attention to detail
