MISSION

 

 

Plastic Omnium is currently seeking a Human Resources Representative to support all generalist areas of human resources. The HR Rep supports the HR Manager in delivering the overall people strategy for the site as well as tactical responsibilities. Primary areas of responsibilities include labor relations, performance management, recruiting, payroll administration, training & development. The HR representative will also ensure positive employee & labor relations through effective communication and fair and consistent administration of the labor agreement.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

 

·  Assist employees as the initial point of contact for human resource related questions, concerns, or issues
·  Assist in the administration of labor agreement
·  Supports the performance development and management of employees
·  Maintains site’s attendance and payroll administration
·  Owner of site’s training and development plans
·  Administers HRIS to include processing of new hires, rehires, terminations, and other employee system changes
·  Share feedback on effective and efficient process to support process improvement
·  Schedule and coordinate various events and meetings, and performing other clerical tasks, as needed
·  Prepare and compile HR reports, special reports, and metrics from database
·  May assist in preparing government reports related to EEO compliance, ACA, and/or other HR functions
·  Assists in investigating and responding to issues concerning, but not limited to: Federal and state discrimination charges, disciplinary actions, working environment, unemployment claims, and other employee relation matters.
·  Assists with communication efforts regarding HR initiatives, activities, goals, and group benefits.
·  Performs other job-related duties in additional areas of responsibility as assigned.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

Additional Responsibilities

·  Managing the educational assistance
·  Handle site activity notices
·  Enter requisition for payment into SAP
·  Reporting Monthly and Annual Indicators though accurate tracking processes
·  Assisting with attendance management discussions
·  Proper record keeping and employee file maintenance
·  Facilitating the job bidding / posting process
·  Participating/ managing community and employee involvement programs
·  Participating in 3rd party agency recruitment and interviewing Hourly employees
·  Deliver New Hire Onboarding class, review benefits and complete I9s
·  Must successfully complete all required training
·  Must comply with all Plant work rules, safety rules, policies and procedures
·  Administering a labor agreement in a fast-paced Unionized manufacturing environment
·  All other duties as assigned

·  Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written communications.

·  Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization from shop floor to VP
·  Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
·  Possess basic computer skills; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
·  Basic knowledge of labor and employment laws

 

 

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelor Degree Required (in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent study preferred)
·  2 years of professional Human Resources and/or business related field (including internships)
·  OSHA training preferred
·  ADP and SAP experience preferred
·  Must legally be able to work in the U.S. without requirement of visa sponsorship now AND in the future.
