Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Work as Product and marketing engineer for VCSEL and PD products to Datacom market in APAC with the emphasis in Greater China

You are responsible for

Commercial aspect:

·  Product promotion to customers
·  Define the business opportunity and way to approach design in of customers with the full responsibility to win the business
·  Organization of promotion activities to customers
·  Provide business forecast to other colleagues for operation.
·  Sales channel management
·  Define the positioning of each channel
·  Usage of the channel matrix to develop or win business
·  Feedback the customer demand as input to HQ to define new product and business (Input for roadmap management)
·  Collection of market intelligence and take care of our positioning on the market
·  Managing the relationship with other companies to let us be fully integrated into the whole Datacom industry

Technical aspect:

·  Kick-off and manage the technical dialogue with design team on the customer side
·  With the support from HQ, taking over the technical customer support to ensure the design-win
·  Collection the technical market intelligence through the technical interaction with customers (e.g. competitive products, technical analysis, technical positioning of our products)
·  Support HQ in Germany in the introduction of new products
·  Support the sales colleague in HQ to drive the organization for more application oriented working
·  Check and comment on the results of such tests and release application note for customers.
·  Provide the development engineer in HQ with application relevant inputs for new product design.

You are a part of

A global sales and marketing team for Philips technical products.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

·  Bachelor or above with technical background,
·  Experienced product management or technical sales for at least 3 years, experience in Optical communication or semiconductor industry is preferred
·  Korean Or German speaking talent: 0 years sales experience with science technology education background is acceptable
·  Working experience in optical communication industry (ideally VCSEL based Datacom application) as R&D engineer is a great plus.
·  Very good communication skill and talent with peoples
·  Good English both in writing and speaking. (German and/or Korean will be a plus.)
·  Willing to have business trip frequently
