MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Brand management of defined wine and Champagne brands as mentioned below together with Portfolio managers. Junior Brand Manager (JBM) should help manage the wine and Champagne portfolio and develop activities on existing brands and launch NDPs (incl. tender participation) when applicable. JBM should help build strong brands in line with brand owner’s guidelines to increase Pernod Ricard Norway wine and Champagne business. JBM should build and strengthen the relationship with brand owners and key stakeholders (customers and journalists) externally as well as build strong relationships internally in the marketing department and in the company in general.
KEY TASKS
Planning and budgets:
- 3-4 year plans
- Brand plans agency brands
- Budget plans – PR brands
- A&P tracking + Accruals
- Market surveillance: follow and inform PRN regarding new market development
Activation and reporting:
- Plan and secure optimal implementation and evaluation of activities
- Prepare and participate in Brand Owner (BO) meetings. Build, strengthen and develop contact/communication with BO to utilize assets in the market
- Plan and participate at brand ambassador/wine market visits ensuring optimal leverage towards Vinmonopolet, on-trade, wine fairs and PR(ess) network
- Optimize PR(ess) impact with activations and network through journalists and bloggers on relevant and prioritized brands (for instance by utilizing BA/WM visits)
- Monthly reporting to PRN and externally to key brand owners
- Plan & attend relevant fairs
- Plan & execute Champagne tastings with Prestige Portfolio Manager
Portfolio management
- Optimize brand assortment and launch NPDs if applicable – All year
- Optimize pricing according to competition and KPI’s
- Monitoring of Vinmonopolet tenders in their launch plan and secure that PRN can participate in maximum number of tenders through communicating opportunities to current portfolio producers as well as search for new producers when applicable
- Evaluate and secure optimal portfolio and propose changes to PR management team. New launches must contain a launch plan and P&L
- Prepare and participate in meetings with product managers at Vinmonopolet headquarters together with Portfolio managers and/or BO
- Ensure participation in relevant tenders Evening/weekend work is required (fairs/events/travels).
PROFILE REQUIREMENT
- Master Degree
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Fluent in English
- International Mindset – Lived abroad (studies or work)
- Excel & Power Point proficiency
