MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Coordination of flawless execution of incoming goods flow under control of the logistics manager
Responsible for a processing invoices correctly in SAP.
Review and analysis of costs and KPI’s (Key Performance Indicator) from 3PL (3rd Party Logistics)/external haulers; and take corrective actions if necessary.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Flawless execution of incoming shipments, in collaboration with PepsiCo DRP (Distribution Resource Planning) team, plants and external suppliers (transporters/3PL)
• Full ownership of costs & performance of 3rd party primary transport
o PO (Purchase order) creation
o Invoice control & posting process, as well as on time payment to suppliers
o Cost & KPI analysis to support monthly financial close and continues improvement
o Relationship management with +/- 15 external transporters
o Support & assist with preparation of primary freight budget (AOP) (+/- €6M)
o Day-to-day support and management of haulers to solve arising problems
• First point of contact for all primary transport related matters for PepsiCo plants & co-manufacturers throughout Europe
o Capacity forecast
o Medium & long term improvement projects
o Ad-hoc support & priority setting
• Supply of accurate shipment arrival planning to support DRP & Customer Service team in achieving best possible stock availability & customer service levels
• Participate in annual pan-European primary freight tender
• Works with the logistics team on future 3PL related ‘Process Improvement Projects’
• Support the logistics team in transport related topics
o Warehousing capacity
o Pallet pool issues
• Provides warehousing & transport volume and costing data to the Logistics Manager in support of P & L calculations

Qualifications/Requirements

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain related
• Knowledge of SAP
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office modules (especially Excel)
• Strong analytical skills; can analyze and make connections
• Is a problem-solver, accurate, strong with numbers
• General language : Fluent in Dutch & English
• Shows responsibility & ownership for his/her own actions, sense of order and cleanliness in his/her own workspace
• Testifies strong personal insights and is able to think logically to bring alleged tasks to a successful conclusion
• Expression skills: able to communicate open and transparently
• Does not settle for a status quo, always looking for ways to improve
• Able to separate main issues from side issues and manage time accordingly
