Company:
OBS experiences major growth in connectivity in Middle East and Africa and faces several network challenges in the region. The Global Enterprise Networks (GEN) team consequently needs to reinforce its activity in the area.
GEN also launched a new organization with an associated transformation program including the creation of a dedicated Emerging region. As such VIE will support the on-going transformation.
Bratislava is a major HUB & Service Center for OBS in the Region and hosts a great share of the OBS MEA teams, including the GEN ones.
Tasks:
- Specify Network plans using consistent design principles focused on quality & financial optimization.
- Ensure end-to-end network services in data & voice domains, including capacity management for hardware and network links, pre-sales validation and network evolution for activities delegated to the Regions.
- Strong collaboration with experts from the central planning teams to ensure effective execution of global network evolution initiatives (esp. to ensure that the network keeps up with the evolution of technologies and market trends such as SDN/NFV, use of Datacenter, Very High Bandwidth, etc).
- Provide technical consultancy and support to regional clusters, Network and Service Implementation, Network Configuration & Change Management, and other regional teams such as Sourcing, CS&O and Presales Consultants.
- Main achievements expected: monitor the design of the network so that:
o It remains cost effective
o It keeps on delivering the right level of quality of service (redundancy, latency, capacity management, obsolescence management…)
o It enables to deliver the services the customers need (time to deliver, etc)
Profile:
- Master Degree level in computer science or telecommunications.
- Transversal management capabilities
- Leadership
- Good communication skills
- Fluent English
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of telco networks
- Arabic is a plus
