UX Designer

Job description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

The UX/UI Designer is responsible for user interface (UI) design and maintenance for templates for Oracle's Adaptive Intelligence applications and projects, to achieve the goals established by the Chief Design Officer and other business units.

The UX/UI Designer will collaborate with the UX Design team, UX Development team, UX Analyst and writer(s) to produce UI designs that continually improve the user experience of the Adaptive Intelligent applications.

The UX Designer, will also be responsible for designing and maintaining marketing, communication, training and other materials as/if needed.

Responsibilities:

·  Collaborate with UX Design team, UX Development team, UX Analyst and writer(s) to help design usable and compelling interactions across application and related properties
·  Prototype and iterate on designs based on feedback provided by UX Analyst
·  Design and maintain documentation templates across all areas of the company: sales, marketing, training, operations, etc.
·  Perform quality checks to ensure design integrity at various stages of development process

Requirements:

·  Expertise in UX software such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Invision, and the like is a must.
·  Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
·  Ability to work with different areas of the business to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet needs, goals and vision.
·  Experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
·  Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
·  Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
·  Can perform both interaction design as well as visual design.
