Job description

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 5 plus years relevant work experience.

The Business intelligence analyst role is an important role looking after the delivery of business analysis for the region, ensuring that information is provided and analyzed to aid decision-making and control of a large and complex business. This information will support the team to drive sales revenue and grow market share. The business intelligence analyst works closely with the business operations advisor for the region to deliver comprehensive business operations support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reconciling, monitoring and analysing the business by preparing, using and providing segmented pipeline, forecast, target and revenue reports to the Sales leaders and Sales Managers.
• Preparing weekly forecast packs, helping to facilitate forecast calls, monitoring forecasted deals, assessing risks and deals closing
• Completing bookings validation on a monthly & quarterly cycle liaising with finance.
• Delivering analysis for the regular business reviews that management has with the Field.
• Analysing sales performance, activity and territory coverage at a sales representative level
• Providing detailed analysis on key products and sales markets, including ODA for Systems
• Preparing executive KPI dashboards for Sales Leader
• Analysing pipeline progression to ensure to flag pipeline that is at risk and needs to be progressed at the right time to the right people.
• Assisting in the monitoring of the overall region's business performance and identifying areas of opportunity or potential risks to the business.
• Using pipeline gap analysis to assess any future gaps by product or by team and calculating technical forecasts based off past behaviour to perform a health check on the business.
• Be an expert on SI business intelligence dashboards. Work to ensure regional business scope is up to date and the pipeline data is accurate on SI. Provide ideas to Business Intelligence team on enhancement requests.
• Delivering training to regional management on SI dashboards ensuring all managers know how to retrieve key information on a self-service basis.
• Support in driving new business processes and sales process and understanding any current business process issues.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:


Essential:
• 3+ years' experience in a similar business intelligence analyst role
• Passion for data and numbers with a curious mind
• Advanced Excel User – extremely competent in all aspects of Excel
• Attentive to accuracy and detail
• Strong analysis and reporting skills
• Fluency in English
• A third level qualification (numerate in nature)
• Experience working in Business Operations or Finance team preferably in a multinational organisation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and persuasive skills essential
• Committed to delivering excellent service, developing contingencies as required
• Problem identification and solving skills
• Good relationship management skills, able to work across global teams
• Desire to join a dynamic, multinational team

Desirable:
• Experience in a sales environment
• Knowledge of the Oracle organization
• Understanding of Oracle products and services
• Experience in an international high technology organisation
• Use of Business Intelligence Applications an advantage
• Spanish/German will be considered a plus
