Job description

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

You will help us take software security to the next level and your advice will be instrumental for defending NetSuite and our customers. In this role, you will lead a team of security consults to influence software development to the most positive security outcomes.

As a member of the product security group at NetSuite+Oracle, you will develop and track work assignments for the security consulting team. Candidates must feel comfortable by providing technical security consultation to engineering teams and team members. You must be able to design and document technical software architecture to meet Oracle security requirements. This is a leadership by example position and you must own your area of responsibility.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex requiring independent judgement. Candidates must be comfortable presenting complex subject matter clearly to various audiences. Candidates must be comfortable designing and coding software solutions in languages like C++/Java. Knowledge of cloud-based systems, software stacks, are important. Working knowledge of IDE, documentation generation tools, UML, Excel, Word, and similar tools are a essential.

BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area is required. 3-5 years of experience managing a technical or engineering teams is required.
