Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Essbase is market leader in Enterprise Performance Management Systems/Business Intelligence/OLAP (EPM/BI/OLAP) Systems.
The Essbase server team works on to architect, design, develop and debug product features in Essbase Server and related products.
The requirement is for Product Support position in Essbase development team in IDC.
As a part of position, you will provide Last-Line Support for Essbase and Essbase related products (Hyperion Planing, OBIEE, Smart View, Oracle Analytics Cloud, etc).
The skill sets requirements are
- Knowledge of Essbase and Essbase related products
- Product/Customer Support experience
- Experience of work on UNIX operating systems
- Basic knowledge of database fundamentals will be plus
- Experience in Quality Control will be plus
Existing Essbase Support flow: in the case of product malfunction, customer is opening Service request that managed by Oracle Support team.
If Oracle Support team is unable to find workaround, or reproduce the issue - this case moved to Essbase Development team.
To not spend a time of developers, we have Essbase Last-Line Support team inside of Essbase Developemnt team that is responsible for these cases.
So, Last-Line Support team employee should have:
* very deep and wide knowledge of the Product
* ability to troubleshoot and provide root cause analysis of the issues
* ability to find a workarounds
* knowledge to perform performance and functional testing
* ability to work on Windows and UNIX environment
* ability to learn new products and understand complex logics
* ability to learn deep computer fundamentals
