Job description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

This opening is for a Software Developer position in the Smart View team. Smart View is an Office addin which acts as the Office front end for suite of Oracle products.

We are a growing team of engineers enhancing the Smart View functionality to support Oracle's strategic product-Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition(OBIEE) suite and also Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) products.

As part of Smart View development team you will be responsible for developing various modules, features and functionality for Smart View used by highly critical customer base using C#/C++/.NET And JavaScript. As part of the development process you will be involved in all phases of the development process: design, coming up with functional and design specifications, prototype, develop code, debug, test and integrate with other modules and providers.

Task also involves optimizing different modules for speed and memory usage and leak. Should be able to provide technical guidance and leadership, promote and enforce development life cycle best practices, manage and interact with product management, quality engineering teams and developers from various teams on a daily basis. Able to perform in a very dynamic, tight time frame, team-oriented, environment and work well with other team-members. Also analyze and help to analyze complex problems and come up with solutions.

Knowledge of all the major office tools including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Office 365 and Google Docs.

Experienced Visual Studio Developer including C++, MFC, and C#

Experience with .NET and .NET tools including VSTO

Experience with REST API or Web Services

Experience with JavaScript

User on Windows OS's including Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10 a plus.

Strong Object Oriented Programming skills and familiar with Object Oriented design patterns

Working knowledge of XML
